May we present our take on the classic denim shirt. Made by our partner factory in Portugal, this piece embodies the meticulous quality and sharp design that Epaulet is famous for, whilst maintaining a very fair retail price. Gorgeous Italian lightweight cotton denim and meticulous single-needle construction to deliver a perfectly versatile four season piece that's easily dressed up or down. This shirt has undergone a three-step enzyme process to impart a beautiful light blue tone. The denim is "sunwashed" without looking bleached - and the color pops wonderfully against dark indigo jeans. All shrinkage is removed and the hand is incredibly soft.
For the buttondown collar, we used a slightly lower height stance and rounded off the points to give it a rakish shape. It's a subtle tweak that really sets this apart.
This mid-weight, 6oz denim hails from Italy's esteemed Candiani mill. It's very comfortable and fully wearable throughout the year. The natural indigo dye process yields a deep, dark blue tone - with a touch of greycast. The shirt has a lightly broken in feel without any significant distressing.
Our fit is the classic Epaulet shape and fit: trim body, athletic cut, & darted lower back. The mid-length tail allows you to wear the shirt tucked or untucked. Un-breakable resin buttons finish it off.
Worn casually or dressed up & pressed, this will surely be one of your most versatile pieces. These shirts run true to size with our overall collection.
All measurements are shown in inches. "Chest" is measured from one seam at the armpit to the other. "Shoulder" is measured from one shoulder seam to the other. "Sleeve" is measured from the shoulder seam to the cuff. "Length" is measured from the base of the collar (where it attaches to the shirt) to the bottom of the tail.
Each shirt is crafted at one of the oldest and most skilled shirtmakers in Portugal.
The 6oz Candiani denim is dyed with natural indigo and appropriate for four-season wear.
A luxe denim shirt like this can be one of the most useful pieces in your wardrobe. Wear it with chinos, with shorts, under a sportcoat, under a field jacket.. or even go full "denim demon" and match it up to a pair of dark jeans. Not only is this a sharp piece that adds some attitude, it's also so comfortable that you'll want to wear it time after time.
