Country of Origin: United States
We're thrilled to present the first collaboration between Epaulet and our close friends at American Trench. We believe that heir signature mac design is the best raincoat in the USA, and we were privileged to work with them on this casual waxed cotton variant.
The "Waxed Mac" is an extremely versatile piece of outerwear that can be effortlessly dressed up or down. Its fabric is a sturdy 12oz duck canvas that's coated with layers of paraffin wax. This surface coating gives it a significant degree of water resistance and the finish will crease and age naturally.. yielding a beautiful patina with repeated wear. The weight is suitable for cooler days, and it can be made much warmer by layering underneath. This particular color is a classic dark olive green.
Its 3/4 length is long enough to keep out the chills without looking too formal. The body is unlined, fully taped at all crucial seams, and has two handwarmer pockets. The rear is single vented and the soft top point collar cuts a rakish profile whether worn flat or up. The buttons are natural corozo nut, dyed a gorgeous brandy tone. The sleeves are finished without buttons and can be be easily shortened by a tailor if needed. The fit is consistent with our other designs, and buying your typical chest size will allow for layering a sweater or thicker sportcoat underneath.
Made in Los Angeles
Each Mac is made by a handful of skilled operators at our Downtown Los Angeles facility. Every piece is cut and assembled by hand, and their proficiency is evident in the clean finishing and consistent stitching on each garment. These are among the finest and most meticulously made garments in the United States.
