Combat Boot Museum Calf Plum

Sorry, this product is no longer available

These museum calf boots are overcuts from a preorder event. A very limited quantity are available now as open stock.

Genuine Ilcea Radica Calfskin (a.k.a. Museum Calf) holds a high seat in the pantheon of shoe leathers. Crafted in Italy, this legendary leather is known for its unique marbling and subtle cloudy appearance. The signature effect is achieved by a light sponging of the leather immediately after an aniline bath, while the skin is still wet. The treatment allows the color to penetrate the hide, as opposed to remaining on the surface. The final effect has eye-catching depth and remarkable sophistication.

The Combat Boot is a sleek and modern take on a classic military style. It has a comfortable eight-eyelet height and a minimal plain-toe design. A Swiss-made RiRi zipper sits at the in-step, allowing the boot to be taken on and off without unlacing the front. This model is made up in black Couro Cromo steerhide and matched to a monochrome black sole. Its solid brass eyelets are finished with a dark gunmetal grey tone.

This particular museum calf boot is made in the handsome Gunmetal colorway.

The Epaulet Combat Boot Shoes run true to size. If you typically wear a 10D in dress shoes, then we recommend ordering a US10 in these. For a comparison to our dress shoes, this size would correspond to a 10D in the Alden Aberdeen last, a 9.5D in the Alden Barrie or Tru-Balance last, and a 9UK in most Carmina lasts. Many of our customers tend to wear the same size in these as they would in a Converse Jack Purcell or Vans Authentic, which can be a useful comparison for getting fitted locally.
