The Epaulet Sport Trainer is our modern day re-interpretation of the athletic shoes issued to the West German army in the 1970s. We've retained the clean lines, slim shape, and minimal design of the original - but we've upgraded all of the materials to offer a truly high-end product.

Epaulet Sport Trainers perfectly compliment the casual side of our collection. We're confident that they are the best product on the market at anything approaching this price. They'll wear in beautifully, and we believe you'll find them to be some of the most comfortable shoes that you have ever worn.

Couro Cromo means "Chrome Leather" in Portuguese. Starting with a thick, sturdy cowhide, the leather is tanned over the course of a month. This tanning process imparts a high oil and wax content to the skin, giving it a supple hand and a rich aniline finish. It breaks in quickly and comfortably, easily maintains a gorgeous sheen, and it will gain exceptional character as it ages. On the practical side, it resists water stains, cleans very easily, and wears tough. It's a truly fantastic leather and will decidedly set your trainers apart from the pack.

A German-made single-unit rubber sole provides great traction and a cushioned ride. A kidskin glove leather full liner extends throughout the interior, and a comfortable, removable insole cushions every step. The comfortable last has a sleek profile, low toe box, and perfectly rounded toe cap. Both whole and half sizes are available for a precise fit.

This particular colorway is dark green Couro Cromo matched to a tonal suede accent and gum sole.

Epaulet Sport Trainers run true to size, and generally run consistent with Epaulet Tennis Trainers. If you typically wear a 10D in dress shoes, then we recommend ordering a US10 in these. For a comparison to our dress shoes, this size would correspond to a 10D in the Alden Aberdeen last, a 9.5D in the Alden Barrie or Tru-Balance last, and a 9UK in most Carmina lasts. Many of our customers also tend to wear the same size in these as they would in a Converse Jack Purcell or Vans Authentic - which can be a useful comparison for getting fitted locally.

For European customers looking at the EU size, we also recommend purchasing your typical size.
