Carmina for Epaulet is a capsule collection of exquisite footwear made expressly for us.

May we introduce the "Sinclair" Shortwing Boot in genuine Horween Shell Cordovan. Good lord. These are some of the most stunning boots that we have ever seen. Click through the photos, and we promise, they look even better in person.

The "Sinclair" is essentially the boot version of
the "Fitzgerald", our Budapester style wingtip. Both of these shoes have a perfect balance of a substantial sole and a sculpted shape. These shoes are refined enough for any dressed-up look, yet work seamlessly with a pair of jeans or chinos. Wingtip boots are an Epaulet essential, and we're especially proud of this outstanding interpretation from Carmina.

This particular shoe is crafted in beautiful burgundy Horween Shell Cordovan.
The "Sinclair" sits on the Forest last, which has a slightly higher toebox and rounded tip for both excellent comfort and a handsome old-school look.

Its details include: waxed cotton laces, signature purple leather liner, and a sturdy goodyear-welted double leather sole.

SIZING
Our Carmina for Epaulet shoes are produced in regular-width UK sizes. For the majority of our customers, ordering one size down from your true size yields the best fit. For example, you'd likely be an 8UK in Carmina if you typically wear a 9D US.

For our Alden customers, Carmina sizing approximately works with their lasts as such:
Carmina 8UK = Alden Barrie or Trubalance Last 8.5D US = Alden Leydon, Aberdeen, Plaza 9D US.

Of course, this sizing relativity may be different depending on the particular shape of your foot and how you prefer your shoes to fit. But we've found that this equation works well for most of our customers.

HORWEEN GENUINE SHELL CORDOVAN
Shell Cordovan is a rare and wonderful leather. It comes from the skin of a horse's rump, and is vegetable-tanned for no less than six months. The result is an exceptionally non-porous leather with a lustrous finish, unbelievable suppleness, and serious durability. It readily conforms to your foot, only needs the occasional polishing, and is naturally water-resistant.As you wear Shell Cordovan over the course of several years, it develops rich patina and unique character. Genuine shell is expensive, but consider it a good investment. With the proper care, you'll get many years of wear out of it.

Please note: lighter colors of Shell Cordovan like Saddle, Whiskey, and Ravello have less dye and allow more of the leather to show through to the top. As such, it's common to see small blemishes, light scratches, and color variations from one component of the shoe to another. These variations are natural and part of Shell Cordovan's character and are present to some degree on every piece. As you wear the shoes, they will develop a significantly darker patina with age, and these variations will be less apparent.
