Introducing American Trench's first random plait sock, using a durable three ends cotton blend.
In the random plait knitting technique, each "end" or strand of yarn is knit into the socks randomly based on the mechanical vibrations of the machine. This creates a stunning variegated effect as each end of yarn is a different color. Also, using three distinct ends of cotton means using more yarn - in effect a 3-ply knit. This creates a relatively substantial sock that is both warm and well-cushioned for boots or sneakers.
These socks fit over the calf and are knit in North Carolina from yarn spun in Spain.
Sizing fits US shoe sizes 8 – 13. Fabric content is 66% recycled cotton, 19% acrylic, 9% polyester, 5% nylon, 1% spandex. This somewhat complex blend yields great comfort and breathability while maintaining stretch and tension after repeated wash and wear. They're an excellent value, and a great product from a very ethical company.
