Epaulet by Gitman Bros.
Charcoal & Burgundy Check Flannel Shirt

Item Sizing Origin & Construction Mike's Notes

Epaulet by Gitman Bros. is an exclusive capsule collection of shirts made by Pennsylvania's Gitman Brothers Company. Crafted with gorgeous fabrics and meticulous tailoring, these pieces are all cut with our signature in-house slim fit.

Who says winter is strictly for drab colors? The grey in this checked shirt will pick up the darker tones of your coat and flannel trousers while seamlessly introducing this shirt's rich Burgundy accent into the mix. You'll be ready to chop wood at your father-in-law's cabin on Sunday and show up at the office in a grey donegal suit on Monday morning, all without changing the threads on your chest.

All measurements are shown in inches. "Chest" is measured from one seam at the armpit to the other. "Shoulder" is measured from one shoulder seam to the other. "Sleeve" is measured from the shoulder seam to the cuff. "Length" is measured from the base of the collar (where it attaches to the shirt) to the bottom of the tail.

Since 1948 Gitman has consistently made one of the finest shirts in the world. Located in Ashland, Pennsylvania, Gitman is also one of the last remaining shirt makers that bases its manufacturing entirely in America. Everyone they work with has been sewing clothing for generations and brings all their history and skill to each individual shirt they sew. Their experience is irreplaceable and we are dedicated to keep our manufacturing here to utilize and save something that is truly part of American history. With so many market goods now made offshore, the "Made in USA" label has not only come to represent a superior product made locally, but also to connote a new form of Internationally recognized quality. At Gitman, their identity is based on the fact that they produce a garment founded on quality in materials and construction - a particular combination of the worlds finest fabrics and master shirt making.

A slim point collar balances nicely with pearlized buttons and dual chest pockets.  Its slim cut flatters the body without being too tight and its mid-length tail looks good tucked or un-tucked.

With a pair jeans and Indy boots, this shirt is ready for the outdoors, especially given its soft flannel warmth. Thrown on a navy blazer and switch out the Indys for longwings, and you'd be seated at most Michelin-starred restaurants. If you had five of these, you could wear nothing else until March and never be out of step.
