Carmina for Epaulet is a capsule collection of exquisite footwear made expressly for us.
The Alcot is a ladies' take on the traditional "Budapester" brogue. It retains the best parts of the mens shoe - namely a comfortable rounded toe, intricate punching and broguing, and a sturdy cork-filled, double-leather sole that molds to your foot. But rather than being merely a smaller version of the mens style, the Alcot offers a slimmer shape a shorter vamp, and playful purple laces to give these a distinct feminine edge. These shoes can go anywhere and be matched to nearly any outfit. You'll be stunned by how comfortable they are, and they're an excellent choice for active feet and long walks.
These shoes are absolutely arresting. Usually the beauty of women's shoes is not in their construction, and oftentimes it's even despite it; however, with Carmina, you get the happy confluence of both stunning looks and world-class manufacturing. Exceptional in every way, we're enormously proud to have Carmina women's as part of our assortment.
This particular shoe is crafted in a lovely carmel French calfskin. Amazingly soft and buttery, this calfskin requires very little time to break in.
Its details include: flat double leather sole, roped laces, signature purple leather liner, and a sturdy goodyear-welted double leather sole, which can be replaced once it has worn out.
Founded in 1866, Carmina is a family-owned Shoemaker located in the gorgeous Spanish island of Mallorca. Owned by José Albaladejo Pujadas (the founder's great-grandson), his wife, and his sons, Carmina is world renown for their exceptional craftsmanship and unflinching quality. Each shoe is Goodyear stitched with exceptional materials, old-world techniques, and elegant European lasts. This quality is also reflected in the excellent fit. In addition to their stunning looks, your first pair of Carminas will be among the most comfortable shoes that you've ever worn. Epaulet is honored to be one of their select dealers.
As Carmina shoes are Goodyear welted, they can be easily resoled and recrafted by a competent cobbler. With this, you can easily get many years of regular wear out of Carmina's quality shoes. Which is important - as you'll surely grow very attached to them.
