A part of our Epaulet Los Angeles collection, the Engineer shirt is a smart casual piece with meticulous attention to detail. This particular shirt is made of 9oz natural indigo dyed denim from the venerable Nihon Menpu denim mill of Japan. This is a relatively heavy-weight shirt that drapes brilliantly and has a very solid presence. It has been put through a rinse and a light enzyme wash to remove shrinkage and give the denim a comfortable, soft hand.
The color is a true indigo blue with tonal matching thread. This will fade brilliantly with wear. The Engineer shirt's details include: point collar with button-over tab, a convertible flap chest pocket (where the flap can be buttoned up or down), flat felled shoulder seams, chainstitched placket, and tortoise resin buttons. As with everything we make, this shirt has Epaulet's signature slim fit.
Epaulet Los Angeles shirting is designed to be a casual counterpart to our Epaulet New York products. Made from start to finish at our workshop in Downtown LA, each piece is largely hand-made by a small team of craftspeople.
EPLA shirt sizing is intended to be consistent with our Epaulet New York shirts. So if you take a medium in our EPNY shirts, you will most likely take a medium in this. All EPLA pieces are pre-washed to remove shrinkage, so the fit that you receive will be accurate. We still recommend cold wash and hang drying for care. These fabrics are designed to age beautifully with wear, and hang drying will allow a natural fade to develop.
